A very happy World Bee Day to you!

Did you know that bee pollination contributes to 70% of the world's crops? The success of our species is dependent on theirs. There are 98 species of bee in Ireland; nearly 1/3 are threatened with extinction.

Robert Emmet CDP are delighted to install 20 additional hives to our Inner City Beekeeping Project across a variety of Dublin 8 locations over the coming weeks to support Irish bee populations and enhance the local environment.

We also hope, dependent on public health guidelines, to run a series of beekeeping classes over the coming months!

As a social enterprise that provides training and employment opportunities to local community members our Inner City Beekeeping Project also bee enhancing social sustainability!
