Many thanks to Eamon O’ Cuiv

Social enterprise operated in the context of a larger charity or community development project has the capacity to change the lives of the individuals involved and lift the horizons of entire communities.

However, this potential is limited when genuine social enterprise- with it’s overarching social goal and ancillary objectives- is required to compete with private enterprise.
Targeted investment in CDP’s / charities operating (at least partially) as social enterprises offers real value for money to the exchequer and provides communities an ability and a responsibility to engage directly in their own development.

Many thanks to Eamon O’ Cuiv for dropping by recently and for his continued advocacy around a fully funded re-opening of the Community Services Programme.
