Robert Emmet CDP is Providing a Covid-19 Response Free Community Food Programme

Robert Emmet CDP are providing a free dinner and food parcel delivery service to community members in need. This began as a service to families of school age children affected by the mandatory Covid-19 related closure of our own afterschool programme but, due to demand, has grown to cover anyone affected by food security issues in the Dublin 8 area. This service is delivered together with our community partners Slunch Box and Tasty8 with whom we prepare and deliver 260 meals per week.

Last week Robert Emmet CDP also started providing a comprehensive food parcel service. Food parcels are delivered to families affected by food poverty / unable to leave their homes for health reasons and we have delivered 160 parcels over the past two weeks. For more information on either service, to refer someone or receive one yourself please contact us on 01 670 8880 or email austin@recdp.ie

To make these new services sustainable, and to meet growing demand, RECDP has launched a new 'buy me a coffee' fundraising initiative.
The idea is very simple: we are asking community members who can to donate the price of the coffee they once bought on their commute to work to pay for a dinner / food parcel for someone affected by food poverty in the South West Inner City.
